“Charles A. Diemer Memorial Scholarship”
Charles A. Diemer was the founding President of the Essex County Federation of Agriculture in 1949. He left his mark in the county with his dedication to his fellow farmers, members of his community and his desire to better society. Upon his passing, the ECFA would like to remember this man through a scholarship that exemplifies these characteristics.
The Essex County Federation of Agriculture is pleased to announce an annual scholarship for a student from the family of an ECFA member entering their 1st, 2nd or 3rd year at a post-secondary school. One $1000 will be awarded each year. The applicant must be an Essex County resident with a parent or grandparent being a current OFA member from Essex County. Preferences will be given to those applicants planning to enroll or currently enrolled in agricultural related courses. The deadline is August 31, 2017 with the announcement of a winner at the ECFA Annual Meeting in December.
