Charles A. Diemer was the founding President of the Essex County Federation of Agriculture.\u00a0\u00a0He left his mark in the county with his dedication to his fellow farmers, members of his community and his desire to better society.\u00a0\u00a0Upon his passing, the ECFA would like to remember this man through an annual scholarship that exemplifies these characteristics.<\/p>\n
The Essex County Federation of Agriculture is pleased to announce a scholarship for a student from the family of an ECFA member entering their 1st<\/sup>, 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0or 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0year at a post- secondary school.\u00a0 One $1000 will be awarded this year.\u00a0 The applicant must be an Essex County resident with a parent or grandparent being a current OFA member from Essex County.\u00a0 Preferences will be given to those applicants planning to enroll or currently enrolled in agricultural related courses.\u00a0 The deadline is August 31, 2021 with the announcement of a winner at the ECFA Annual Meeting in December.<\/p>\n Please note, the new mailing address and e-mail address for the Essex County Federation of Agriculture.<\/p>\n For more information, please contact the ECFA office at 519-776-5159 or\u00a0office@ecfa.ca<\/a><\/u>.<\/p>\n
